It's far more powerful than the 182 horsepower of the Venza's previous 2.7-litre four-cylinder model, but less than the 268 horsepower of the 3.5-litre V6 in the larger versions. Nevertheless, this spectacular breakthrough announced by Toyota Canada shows that the Japanese manufacturer is continuing to move towards the hybridization and electrification of its vehicles. In addition, the hybrid system of the new 2021 Toyota Venza adopts an even more powerful lithium-ion battery with its three electric motors. The hybrid SUV will be all-wheel drive, with the gasoline engine and the first two electric motors powering the front wheels, while the independent electric motor will provide traction to the rear wheels if necessary. A total of 80% of the power can be sent to the rear wheels if necessary, in particular to prevent the front wheels from spinning during acceleration. This integral cog will finally allow for better stability on the roads of Quebec, Canada and the United States, in addition to better negotiating corners.

The interior of the all-new Venza is quite majestic. Toyota has decided to play the techno card with an infotainment system that includes a large 12.3-inch touch screen mounted in the centre of the dashboard on Premium system-equipped versions. The basic versions will have an eight-inch screen. Compatibility with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto is, this time, assured for all versions of the 2021 Venza, in addition to Bluetooth, USB ports and voice control.

Furthermore, the Venza adds a touch of modernism with its electrochemical panoramic roof that allows the entry of light into the vehicle to be controlled by a simple command. The comfort of the adjustable and heated seats and the elegant leather trim, cup holders and sporty shift knob give the new Hybrid SUV a distinctive look.
